Producer, Songwriter, Session Musician & Professor

Straight out of the San Francisco Bay Area, I began my career in audio as an intern for the legendary Hyde Street Studios in the middle 90’s. I had the good fortune to be a fly on the wall for recording sessions with many iconic artists (Green Day, The Neville Brothers, Bob Weir, Digital Underground, Gregg Allman). I picked up tips, techniques and trade craft from some of Pop music’s greatest engineers and producers (Tom Dowd, Mark Needham, Stephen Barncard, Ed Thacker, Ethan Johns, Kevin Army). The same guiding principle that figuratively hung above Hyde Street’s entrance hangs above mine: vibe is everything.

Since then, my home base has been Boulder, Colorado. But my journey has taken me nationally and internationally, working with amazing people like Martin Levan, Béla Fleck, Boubacar Diébaté, Nick Heath, and Winston Hauschild, to name a few. In addition to being an engineer/producer, songwriter, and session musician, I teach and mentor the next generations of talent in CU Denver’s Recording Arts Program. I am proud to have started @UCD_SWAG (Supporting Women in Audio Group), a student-led organization representing industry evolution. My home base for building community and supporting creatives is Broadway Music Studios.
